Originally from Dunn, a small city in eastern North Carolina, I came to Charlotte to attend UNC Charlotte and fell in love with the area. My wife Kristi and I were married in 2003 and now live in Belmont with our daughter Abbey and dog Ernie. I enjoy books, music, computers, gardening and I have a modest collection of antique bayonets. When not working, you can usually catch me relaxing around the house or working in the yard.
I feel that a simple approach to a difficult problem is the key to a smart business solution. If a design reveals nothing about the purpose for which it was created, it would be worth nothing. As a designer, it is not only about creativity, but also about having the skills to communicate a purpose through a visual experience.
My broad experience gained throughout the past several years has prepared me for a lot of challenges that I come across on a day to day basis, but my education will never be complete. We learn something new every day because most knowledge is gained through experience! I look forward to using each new experience to further enhance my skills as a designer.
